South Korea's Lee Kyung-hoon is tied for 37th place after the first round of the PGA Tour's Sanderson Farms Championship ($7.6 million).

Lee carded six birdies and two bogeys for a 4-under 68 in the first round of the tournament at Jackson Country Club (par-72, 7,461 yards) in Jackson, Mississippi, USA, on Thursday (July 4).

After finishing the first round in a tie for 37th place, Lee will look to move up the leaderboard in rounds two through four.

The two-time PGA Tour winner has three top-10 finishes this year. The most recent was a tie for ninth at the 3M Open in July.

After dropping one stroke on the front nine, Lee reeled off five straight birdies on Nos. 13-17 in the second half.

Senior Reed Hughes (USA), 71, a local qualifier, had four birdies but three bogeys, a double bogey and a triple bogey for a 4-over-par 76 and is tied for 129th out of 130 players.
